For this project, I was asked to create an abstract self-portrait using information architecture as the primary medium. Instead of relying on imagery, I translated my identity into a structured system using the metaphor of an everything bagel, each topping representing different dimensions of who I am.
The bagel acts as the central organizing framework, with layered components categorizing aspects of my life including education, cultural background, relationships, accomplishments, personality traits, and favorite foods. I used typographic hierarchy and visual coding to signal importance, bolding elements that most strongly connect to my Jewish identity, which serves as a foundational layer within the system.
By treating identity as structured data, this piece explores how hierarchy, categorization, and visual logic can communicate something deeply personal in a clear and navigable way.
